The Green Scholarship Program Life Skills Seminar: On Saturday, August 18th, 2018, GSP held its first Life Skills Seminar for this academic year, with a former student as the keynote speaker: Lic. Arturo Carballo Manriquez- Pedagogy UGC.
Since Arturo graduated from the GSP program, he has dedicated his life to be an active member of today´s society. Arturo is a full time teacher with a passion to instruct students from all ages. He also was a full time volunteer in an addiction center in La Paz, where he taught classes of motivation, leadership and self- control. Furthermore, Arturo is currently volunteering in the most vulnerable communities of Los Cabos, and continues to show passion for life and for service to others.
His “Who Am I & Where do I go? seminar included topics on: The Importance of Attitude, how to take Initiative, how to overcome life issues, how to live with passion, and how to reach success. Many of the activities from the seminar included: integration, team work, problem resolution & assertive communication.
Developing life skills in the GSP students helps us keep them motivated,as well as equipped with the skills they need to stay strong and successful!
